Susana Balbo Crios Torrontés 2024 ★★★★ (90)
This is a great-value Argentine white you really should get to know. Torrontés was once thought to be an indigenous grape, but modern genetic research shows it’s actually related to varieties brought to Argentina by Spanish missionaries. In the glass, it’s dry, fresh, and vibrant, with flavours of peach, lemon, golden apple, and melon, rounded out by subtle fresh herbs and honey. It’s an excellent match for garlic shrimp and other seafood, mild East Asian dishes, or simply enjoyed on its own as a refreshing pre-dinner pour.
On sale $14.95, Regular $16.95 (Vintages)
