If you love Rioja, it’s time to get to know Ribera del Duero. Both regions champion the Tempranillo grape, but Ribera del Duero wines tend to be bigger, darker, and more powerful than their famous counterpart. This one is unmistakably full-bodied, deeply coloured, and packed with blackberry and black cherry, layered with hints of basil, eucalyptus, vanilla, and smoke. The tannins are present, without being harsh, giving it the backbone to age comfortably through at least 2030. For a truly Spanish experience, serve it with chorizo paella. It’s equally excellent alongside grilled meats, where its depth and structure really shine.
